2021-2023

After the solo exhibition "Doubtful Memory" in Anita Chan Lai-ling gallery, I strive for the performative quality in my artworks mainly by the addition of slight movement.

In the group exhibition " Waiting in the Pandemic", curated by the Mediator Rocks, I attempted to frame the artwork that previously shown in my solo exhibition in order to strengthen the painterly quality of the painting installation and as the support for the curtain which showed the breathing movement by the fan's breezing.

In the group show "Light up" in Goethe institute I created an installation which was completed with the spot light in the exhibition space to form a holy cross that was my tribute to the abandoned objects. Within the plastic top of the installation there was a rag that keep being blown by the fan inside to create a floating movement and mechanical noise.

"Barely catch a hand" is a specific work to an art prize "Color of Humanity" held by the Goethe Insitut in Hong Kong. This piece was shortlisted and exhibited there. As a freelance designer in toy industry for many years I tried to integrate toy in painting, once the triggers on both sides are pull, the toy fan will produce wave to push the drawn hand to each other.
